G.L.A.D.E.S.

is the premier Ecology club

at

Florida International University 

About

G.L.A.D.E.S stands for Growth of Leadership Academics and Diversity in Ecological Sciences. It is composed of a network of university students whose main focus is to raise awareness about the importance of ecology through workshops, lecture series, community service, and outdoor adventure events.

Projects

Volunteering at Deering Estate and local Elementary school gardens  to assist in post hurricane clean-up.

 

Tour and volunteering at Crocodile Lake National Wildlife Refuge.

 

 

 

 

 

G.L.A.D.E.S will be fundraising for relief efforts due to the destruction caused by hurricane Irma and hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. Fundraising details are coming soon and will be posted on our social media outlets and Orgsync, so stay tuned! Please help G.L.A.D.E.S. expand their outreach. Every effort counts!

Calling all GLADES Members that are FIU students! This semester we plan on taking an amazing trip to Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge where we will be exploring the refuges wildlife drive and manatees. At night we will be going night kayaking to see bioluminescent jellyfish! This CSO funded field trip will be an overnight trip on Nov. 4th- Nov. 5th. Don't miss this amazing opportunity as space is limited!! Please email us with your interest in attending!
